The Beatriz Ball Collection began in 1991, when Beatriz Ball began working hand-in-hand with skillful metalware artisans and designers in the outskirts of Mexico City, jointly creating updated, innovative designs in a special lustrous alloy of many metals.
Beatriz Ball pieces are made entirely by hand, one at a time, using the ancient art of sand casting, by pouring a premium quality alloy of molten aluminum into sand molds. Then each piece goes thru four different levels of polishing.
More than twelve different sets of hands are involved in the creation of each piece, and the result of this intensely handmade process is a piece with a depth of character, warmth, and personality that communicates in a way that only a handmade piece can.
Beatriz Ball pieces are truly works of art made of sand cast aluminum. But don't let their beauty and silver shine be deceptive - they are hardworking pieces that can be displayed as works of art or used everyday. They require no polishing, go from refrigerator to over to table and are perfectly suited for todays casual lifestyles.
